20. (Problem Solving)
Assessment Objectives
- Given velocity and acceleration vectors, identify whether an object is speeding up or slowing down.
- Fill out a 1D kinematics table correctly.
- - Recognize the importance of a basis, and label values with the appropriate signs.
- - Identify when the acceleration is $\pm9.8\u{m/s^2}$, and when it is not.
- Solve for a missing variable in a 1D Kinematics problem.
- When a 1D kinematics problem has more than one answer, identify which one is correct.
- Solve a problem which involves kinematics and forces, via the acceleration.
- Fill out a 2D kinematics table correctly.
- - Be able to split velocity and acceleration vectors into their components.
- - Label values with the appropriate signs.
- Solve a 2D kinematics problem for one or more variables.
- - ...when only one column needs to be solved
- - ...when both columns need to be solved
- - ...when the object is in free fall
- - ...when the object is not in free fall (e.g. a car)
